Elnie S Mashari, The Producer
Elnie S Mashari graduated with a BA in Theatre Studies from the Queensland University of Technology (Brisbane, Australia). She is a prolific theatre practitioner who performs, production/stage manages, directs and a drama trainer for the last 12 years.
As a Production/Stage Manager, Elnie has involved in the last few Singapore Arts Festivals, Wildrice’s Singapore Theatre Festival as well as Touring Productions., such as “Causeway”, “Rosnah”, “Impenjarament”, “Mobile”, “JBJ”, “Fundamentally Happy (KL)”, “Blithe Spirit” and “Off Centre”. In 2007, she has stage managed the successfully Marina Bay Countdown at the Esplanade 2007/2008.
As a Performer, her stage credits include “My Name is Nadra”, “Ikan Cantik”, “Main-Main” and “Minah & Monyet” which toured in Kuala Lumpur. In 2004/2005, she is one of TNS actor-facilitator for a Forum Theatre Workshop in India collaborating with the Students of Kirori Mal College, Delhi and with the theatre practitioners in Banda Aceh as part of the reconstructing programme. Recently she has toured in Shanghai for Asia Contemporary Theatre Festival, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and The Darwin Festival ’07, Australia as part of an ensemble cast under Theatre Practice’s “Play Play”.
Juraidah Rahman, The Associate Producer
A theatre enthusiast, Juraidah is fortunate to be exposed to various aspects of theatre especially wardrobe and stage management.
Her stage management credits include The Necessary Stage’s Frozen Angels & Let Me Go!, Sing’theatre’s No Regrets, A Tribute to Edith Piaf, Lasalle, College of the Arts’ Macbeth, Wild Rice’s Happy Endings: Asian Boys Volume 3, Second Link – Kuala Lumpur and Singapore Theatre Festival, The Magic Fundoshi, Boeing Boeing (2005), The Visit of the Tai Tai, Animal Farm which was part of 2004’s New Zealand International Arts Festival and SRT Young Company’s Down The White Road.
She was the Assistant Stage Manager for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Shakespeare’s R & J (The Singapore Repertory Theatre), Cabaret (Toy Factory Theatre Ensemble), Jack and The Beansprout, Oi! Sleeping Beauty!!, Cinderel-LAH!, Animal Farm 2003, and Invitation to Treat (Wild Rice Ltd). Her production experience has guided her to be a Production Stage Manager for Macbeth by Lasalle, College of the Arts and Wild Rice’s Annual Fundraiser in 2006 – Some Enchanted Evening, Broadway Our Way. Juraidah was a Production Coordinator with Wild Rice from 2004 – 2006. and the recent M1 Singapore Fringe Festival 2008 by The Necessary Stage.
Molizah Mohd Mohter, The Production Manager
Molizah Mohd Mohter (Moli) has taken various positions in theatre since 1993, ranging from stage managing, production coordinating, acting and administrating to costume, set, props and makeup in both English and Malay-language theatre.
Moli has worked with many local theatre productions such as The Necessary Stage, Teater Kami, Teater Artistik, Teater Ekamatra, Theatre Practice, I Theatre, Dramabox & W!ld Rice. Being a versatile full time theatre practitioner, Moli had the opportunities to travel overseas with The Necessary Stage’s Mobile to Japan, I-Theatre’s Rainbow Fish to India and Teater Ekamatra’s Causeway and La Libre Latifa to Kuala Lumpur. Having worked with No. 1 Costume Costume, she also has the extensive knowledge of costumes, make-up and mascot.
In her early years in theatre, Moli had played various roles as an actor/ performer, ranging from a schizophrenic to a blind old woman. She had also performed a monologue, La Libre Latifa, under the direction of Alin Mosbit that toured to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Moli is also a drama trainer in basic acting, stage makeup, costume making, set and props building for schools and theatre companies.
