Ensemble of Singapore theatre artists who create and perform original, issue-based theatre performances, committed to play its role in audience education and artistic exchange amongst theatre creators, so as to usher new advancements in the Singapore theatre.
What is panggung ARTS?
Panggung is a Malay word that means theatre, stage, boards, gallery and platform. In panggung ARTS, as a collective of theatre practitioners, with multi-disciplinary skills and talents, we are dedicated to our mission to make vibrant multi-lingual, relevant issue-based, Singapore-brand theatre productions for the local and global communities.
Who is panggung ARTS?
Panggung ARTS is a Singapore theatre company founded in 2008 by director/ playwright/ performer Aidli ‘Alin’ Mosbit, with other prolific and multi-talented practitioners like Muhammad Najib Soiman (bijaN), Mohd Zulfadli Mohd Rashid (Big) and Mohamed Fita Helmi. Helming the company’s administrative and production management team, are the very experienced producers like Elnie Shumastri Mashari, Molizah Mohd Mohter and Juraidah Rahman. Our other collaborators include designer Junainah Yusoff and an emerging artist, Serena Pang.
panggung ARTS Mission is threefold :
To create and perform original Singaporean theatre that is process-oriented, actor-generated, director-devised, highly-creative and thought-provoking, to communities in national and international venues.
To innovate, practise and teach panggung ARTS ongoing performer training in rehearsals, in workshops and in other educational environments, thus developing and documenting relevant research in the theatre field.
To maintain and sustain interest in theatre, appreciation and exchange between the local and international theatre creators, scholars and local audience communities. panggung ARTS also aims to reclaim our ethnic traditional theatre traditions and advances the development of future theatrical achievements.

Our specific vision seeks to create a truly unique, live, human experience, which can entertain and enlighten at the same time-changing perceptions, we aim to create a compound of innovative theatre. We are committed to produce professional theatre performances with artistic excellence and high production value. Also, as an arts ambassador, panggung Arts welcomes collaborations from abroad and involvement in overseas festivals. We aim to represent Singaporean's soul to the heart of the world.
